Jobbik calls for “political criminals” to face jail terms

Hungary needs new laws to make sure that “political criminals” are punished, leader of radical nationalist Jobbik said at a campaign event on Sunday.

Gabor Vona, Jobbik’s prime-minister candidate, said his party “will not be scared to call for the politicians in question to be jailed [...] many of them sit in parliament today.”

He said any politician caught in misconduct must be punished with a double term for violating law as a lawmaker himself.

Jobbik also wants to abolish parliamentary immunity and introduce the option of sacking MPs and scrapping their severance pay, Vona said.

Outlining his party’s manifesto, he said priorities were to create jobs, impose extra taxes on multinational companies and renegotiate the terms of Hungary’s bailout.

Vona also stressed Jobbik’s commitment to eradicating graft “in which all parliamentary parties are involved”.

He also called for documents on privatisation and bank consolidation deals to be declassified.

Polls indicate that Jobbik could become the third largest party in parliament after the April elections.

“sacking MPs” would be a nice option
On the first day of Parliament the Parliamentarian Majority will sack all the other MPs
Nice suggestion, may we suggest that happens to all Jobbik MPs asap after April 25 (2nd run)?
It will be no problems finding any reason for sacking them, because the Majority being the Law, they can invent something
    .
Jobbik shows its total non-understanding of how a Parliamentarian Democracy works, the safety catches that are included in the process are there for a reason to stop one party/ideology monopolising the Parliament

There is a *great* difference to take away immunity from prosecution (in reality a delay of such procedures) to actually throw out an MP

Bob spoke recently on another thread that the new Jobbik-program was good to support the good forces inside Jobbik and stop some of the wild-brains
Seems like Bob would need to start at the top of Jobbik to get rid of the wild-brains
