Fidesz announces appointment of new “accountability commissioner”

Fidesz on Sunday announced the new post of “government accountability commissioner”. The job of the new commissioner, Ferenc Papcsak, will be to make sure that public money is spent properly, efficiently and to ensure transactions are above-board.

Papcsak’s other role is to name former government officials who participated in economic decision-making which clearly damaged the country and taxpayers, and to take legal steps to hold those former officials accountable.
