The MKKP, now officially registered as the Two-Tailed Dog Union (Kétfarkú Kutya Egyesület), held their first press conference on Tuesday, some of which you can see in the video above. In it, they introduced their candidates for mayors of Szeged, Budapest, and Budapest’s District VII, as well as expanding on some of their program, adding that naturally the free beer part of their program would apply to Hungarians across the border too.

For those who do not know ‘loonie’ is short for ‘lunatic’ (aka ‘nutters’,'twits’, ‘balm pots’ etc). This was derived from the Luna Society’ a group of ‘sages’ who met and dined togeather on the night of the full moon. The reason was they would have moon light all night as they rode (or more likely were pushed in wheelbarrows) home.

the MKKP about 6 months ago. A Hungarian artist
who never realised that he was doing things that
in other countries are taken for granted. That was
what surprised us so much, he didn’t have any
knowledge of the Monster Raving Loony Party,
Brasseye/Chris Morris and Colbert Report/Daily
Show. Truly homegrown Szegedi satire
