Former Jobbik county leader lashes out at party chairman

tamas-pachl.jpgTamás Pachl, Jobbik’s former vice president for its Komárom-Esztergom County operations aired some grievances over the direction the party has taken, Mandiner summarized. According to Pachl, the Hungarian Guard turned out to be nothing but a PR stunt, and it has been overrun with people only interested in the paramilitary aspects and not its patriotic parts that were part of its original program. Pachl added that Gábor Vona and the other Jobbik leadership has all but forced out the moderates in the party, and that the party aimed to get the support of the most radical elements of the country “because there’s enough people there to get him and his friends into parliament”, adding that the party will never develop mass appeal this way, before raising questions about where Vona’s finances originate.

    Bob,
    Noted and corrected.

Yes, I though that this had perhaps been an oversight. I wonder how long it will take kuruc.info to call Mr Pachl a closet Jew?
It is a shame he, and others, were not brave enough to coordinate their concerns with Lajos Pősze’s comments in July.

It seems I was grossly mistaken to have so
thoughtlessly impugned Mr Pachl’s courage. A little
research showed that he did in fact resign from
Jobbik as a direct result of Pősze’s demotion:

And that kuruc reacted in an expected manner:

Well, I have always said that if Jobbik behaved like
MIÉP they would share their fate. To me this always
    seemed rather obvious.

I sometimes have problems grasping Hungarian articles but this sentence seems pretty clear re Vona:
“a józan politizálás helyett a radikálisok mellett tette le a voksát”.”
This is what puzzled me about JOBBIK – Hungary was crying out for a new political party they could support
When I first heard about JOBBIK I thought it was great – I thought they stood for making political moves that were always in the best interest of Hungary and Hungarians.
10 minutes after searching for their platform I realized it was an ultra right wing “brown shirt party” living in the past and blaming and hating minorities.
It would be really interesting to read what kind of a JOBBIK party Tamas Pachl envisioned. If you could direct me to a Hungarian site that would explain it, I’d appreciate it.
Maybe there is an other side to JOBBIK that doesn’t “hate” and “blame” yet wants to improve the lives of everyone within Hungary’s borders.
BTW, on another topic – we have a major scandal in Canada concerning a female Judge and I heard on the news that her “Conduct was Unbecoming for a member of the Judiciary”. – That’s the phrase I was looking for when we were discussing KM

Certainly all subjects worthy of more examination,
but I just don’t have the time at the moment. Keep
reminding me though and I’ll share my reflections on
KM and your impression of Jobbik when I can.
The easiest way I have of explaining is that you
have gone from one side of the horse to the other,
as we say, and the truth, to my mind at least, is
    somewhere in the middle.

Thanks – I would like to think there is something better in store for Hungary than the present JOBBIK crowd stuck in the horrible past as far as a “new party” is concerned
In the meantime I’ll try to figure out Tamas Pachl on my own – good practice in Hungarian.
