Two-Tailed Dog Party makes first appearance in public opinion polls

mkkp-budapest-bkv.jpg

With their joke campaign (including plans on how to overhaul the BKV as seen in the photo above) catching serious traction in the media, it should be no surprise that the Hungarian Two-Tailed Dog Party would be included in opinion polls relating to this fall’s local elections. What is surprising, however, is that the party is already polling 2%, meaning that the joke party is also catching on with voters, many of whom no longer find the LMP (or perhaps even Jobbik) worthy of their protest vote anymore. The “two-tailed dog party” sounds like the kind of name a bunch of Western circus freaks would make up. This party is financed and created to distract people from serious problems of the day.
Hungary has no need for jokesters or disappointed failed comedians (there’s enough of them already represented in government).
What Hungarians need is not a “protest vote” going to protest trap, but serious votes going to serious parties that are willing and ready to change and move the nation in a positive direction.
Comedians need to stay in their little clubhouses, upon their little podiums, where they are paid to be funny. However, nothing is funny about the “two tailed-doggy party”, why not name it the “ten paw-cat party” or “three head-Socialist party”, because that is exactly what it is, the third head of a political party of an already existing party, just being used to siphon off votes from other regular parties.

Sounds great! Can you name such a party?

    Lighten up.
“Western circus freaks”? Are we approximately 80 years old and surrounded in our hermit lifestyle by excessive patriotism?
What Hungarians need is not some narrow-minded personality such as yours but serious political parties and some fun to lighten up their lives. That’s all this party is – some fun. You’re obviously not going to vote for them and they’re obviously not going to gain power so why waste your time posting such ridiculous and banal comments?
You did nothing to further your cause but instead wasted some moments of my time.

Your right, I would not vote for a minor distraction (if I could). And, it’s my right not to. It’s also my right to speak against “clownism” in politics. We have enough serious clowns, and I don’t think we need many more. Funny or not, cute or not, politically serious or not, they can be involved in politics, it’s their right, so I’ll respect that.
But it’s also my right to believe it to be a distraction and about as relevant politically, economically, and socially to the problems in Hungary as a comic book.
I don’t think I was trying to further any cause with that comment, but instead pointing out that it’s a political trap. There are many parties in Hungary which are political traps, just operating as shells and fronts and takings 1% there, two there, 4% here. It adds up. All these protest votes to un-serious parties erode the power of voters and serious political parties.
I didn’t waste one second of your time, I didn’t force you to read or respond. You wasted it yourself.

    Anonymous,
Have a palinka. Have a good bowel movement. Lighten up.
The two tailed dog party is making fun of the ruling Fidesz party and both parties have equal credibility.
When you Hungarians stop your nostakgia for the defunct ‘Austrian-Hungarian Empire’ and act like adults then may be you will get the government you deserve.
Political parties reflect the country’s mentality and the mentality here is stuck in the past.

You are right political parties reflect a countries mentality , so you
must be very child like and lack any sort of intelligence what so
ever, given the political parties in the U.S .
You need to focus your attention on your home country, after all
you are being over run by the mexican drug cartels.
When you americans stop trying to recreate a certain defunct
empire from 2000 years ago you will get the respect you deserve.

    …Financed and created BY WHO???
I tell you straightly: This party was circumstances created in order to bring as much humour into the political campaign as possible. Each single parliamential party felt that this party’s slogens are against their “serious” ones. This is not the Two-Tailed Dog party’s fault…
The other goal was to create a chance to vote for “NOTA” (Non of the aboves). Since all the parliamntial parties are unfair, selfish and robber, so those are the ones who “distract people from serious problems of the day.”
Your statement on the financing of the party is more ridiculous than the political of Hungary, at all.
Just look in the mirror and you will see a big-big two-tailed dog there. Peace! :-)

Is there anyone who is surprised that you do not like Fidesz any better than Jobbik?
You want the kikes in government like the one they did with the MSZMP/SZDSZ mafia.
Better, send more money to LMP/SZDSZ…
