Hungarian investigators to probe alleged Soviet war crime

The National Bureau of Investigation (NNI) has recently launched an inquiry into acts of cruelty perpetrated by the Soviet army in World War II, Magyar Hírlap reports.

Red Army soldiers celebrating their victory reportedly shot 32 young men in Olaszfalu, near Zirc, Veszprém county in the presence of their parents.

The 16-22-year-old boys were secretly buried in a mass grave.

What about the 600,000 deportations from 1946-49? When is justice coming for them. Soviets broke all international laws/treaties when transporting these people (many ordinary civilians, not soldiers) to Siberian gulags and work camps….As they say…They say…the victors write history.

Lesson for all politicians – Don’t wage war on other countries. Your opponents may not be so forgiving when you lose.

As to the 600,000, my uncle Elemer was among them, as were my mother’s relatives. Many died in the GULAG, more than died in WWII! I would like to see some justice one day. It is heartening to see the Hungarian authorities *finally* doing the right thing.
Lord knows they’ve taken long enough time!

Are the so called “liberators” finally getting their comeuppance? I doubt it but still the atrocities of war should be proven and must be exposed for all to see and should include both winners as well as losers! Perhaps then man can learn but again I doubt it!

The surviors, of the slavery work, and descendents of the 600,000 are, in my humble opinion, entitled to compensations.

For some past injustices some are overcompensated while others get sweet little, diddly squat! Remains to be seen what if anything will be done.

What about 600,000 hungarian jews, killed by hungarian nazis? My Father and ALL the family of my mother among them!
