Synagogue vandalised in southeast Hungary

The entrance to a building currently used as the local synagogue in Bekescsaba, SE Hungary, was found daubed with yellow paint early on Wednesday.

Mazsihisz, the federation of Hungarian Jewish communities reported the case to MTI, adding that the police had also been alerted.

Bekescsaba’s Jewish community is making preparations for a commemoration of Holocaust victims on Sunday, to be attended by Israeli Ambassador to Hungary Ilan Mor.

Hungary has witnessed several similar cases of anti-Semitic vandalism over the past few months.

MTI (Magyar Távirati Iroda) is the Hungarian news agency.

    Given that the Hungarian Anti-Terror Police has extreme possibilities to under-cover spying and surveillance, without any Parliamentary or Judiciary control, this type of crime should be rather easy to solve, then the perpetrators are rather well-known in the local community, like the “Debrecen-Nazi” were (who went around the Hungarian countryside and randomly killed Roma)

    On the other hand, maybe all these Police Officers are busy with spying on Gyurcsány to finally fix a conviction that can please ‘leto’ and his kind?

    I’m Hungarian, and anti-semetic events do not bother me at all. When I lived in Tot-fold, I used to get harassed, physically and mentally, by neo-nazi Slovaks. – where were the j*ws then?
