Ombudsman challenges Anti-Terrorist Center powers

Basic rights ombudsman Máté Szabó has urged Interior Minister Sándor Pintér to initiate an amendment to ensure the possibility of legal remedy against secret information gathering by the Anti-Terrorist Centre (TEK).

The TEK has been empowered since January to collect information secretly under the new law on national security services.
However, Szabó said, the law does not provide sufficient legal remedy.

He cited a Council of Europe recommendation that all citizens have the opportunity to gain insight into information collected about themselves and stored by intelligence services, provided that they do not compromise national security interests.

Another basic law that will have to be changed…
What is new in The Fidesz World?

No wonder Fidesz have such supporters as islamophobic SD in Sweden, Fidesz just disrespect any normal basic human right ruling the last 20 years in the EU and seem to read the same textbook as Mr Put in on writing laws

Actually I don’t think anybody formally summarized yet all the unlawful act of the lawmakers in Hungary.
Apparently the Fidesz even has difficulties to keep his own newly manufactured rules, let alone general civilized principles.

As I see, so far the criticism aimed toward individual events, while the sum of all misuse/abuse of civil rights and overwhelming power clearly adds up to the level of any newly started autocracy on a clear path to cult of personality and dictatorship.

However, according to the Almighty Ruler that’s the way these “half Asian” hordes need to be dealt with.

Ombudsman Szabó is trying to earn his salary.
