No Hungarian link in Gripen money laundering case, says Vienna prosecutor spokesman

There is no Hungarian element in the Austrian indictment against businessman Alfons Mensdorff-Pouilly, a former advisor to British arms maker BAE Systems, Vienna prosecutors spokesman Thomas Vecsey said on Wednesday.

He said Austrian authorities have not received a request from Hungarian prosecutors for information.

Mensdorff-Pouilly will go on trial in December on charges of money laundering and giving false testimony in connection with a corruption inquiry into the procurement of Gripen fighter jets in Austria and Eastern Europe.

“There is no Hungarian element in the Austrian indictment”

    - And why should be? This is the Austrian indictment, since the “herr graf” has been quite busy at home too.

As long as Hungary pretending that nothing happened, and – just to save a face – try to make inquiries here and there, shows clearly, just how seriously faulted the system really is.

So far Hungary is the only country which hasn’t conducted criminal investigation about the Gripen affair.

Of course, it supposed to mean, that while all the others involved in graft, we are the only ones who innocent, white as snow.

    Hallelujah!

Furthermore, we believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and Viktor Orban too, so what?
