  • and in 2005 Fidesz voted for László Sólyom to be President of the Republic of Hungary between 2005 and 2010, thinking he would be a spanner in Gyurcsany’s machinery.
    In 2010, with Fidesz 2/3rd majority they just needed a rubber-stamp and definitely not an educated President of the Constitutional Court of Hungary from 1990 to 1998, which helped to build up Constitutionalism in Hungary, something Fidesz has dismantled enormously since 2010.

    Wonder if László Sólyom will get the chance to become President yet another time?

      He would be a LOT more suitable than either of the puppets who followed him in office, no doubt.
